Captain Jason Rucker is a fourth generation Floridian who grew up on Florida's Forgotten Coast in the pristine little fishing town of Eastpoint. Jason's family owned seafood businesses on the coasts of Florida, Alabama and Louisiana. Jason's had endless miles of water to explore. Jason spent his childhood and teenage years exploring and fishing the flats and coastlines from Florida to Louisiana and harassing every tarpon and redfish in between.

Jason primarily fishes for redfish and trout from September - April. The days shorten, the water temperature drops and the shrimp move to the shallow flats with the trout and reds hot on their trail. Since the days are shorter and early mornings colder it's sometimes better to fish 1/2 days or 6-hour days to get the best tide for that day.
